Well known Foreign Folktale



Once upon a time, there was a story about a king and his pretty queen. When their baby was born , they made a big party, attended by all in the kingdom , but one fairy was not invited, what happened then in this story, just enjoy the story. The title is sleeping beauty. A miracle can do thing than can’t do .
So, the uninvited fairy came , she was furious.
“ Here is my wish, when the princess is 16 years old , she will prick her finger on a spindle, and she will die .”
Then the 12th fairy said
“ I cannot change all of the wicked fairy powerful magic, so she will prick her finger but she will not die, she will sleep for a hundred years.”
The king and queen thanked the fairy for her kindness, but they were not happy, so they ordered that every spinning wheel and spindles in the land must be chooped up and burnt. Then they thought that the princess was safe.
The years passed and the princess grew up, she was very beautiful and clever. On her 16th birthday, the princess was exploring the castle .
“ A ha, a little room , an old woman , what are you doing ? “
“ I am spinning, Would you like to try ?”
“ Hmm, Oh Yes, let me try .”
The old woman was really the wicked 13th fairy. So what happened then ? As soon as, she touched the spindle. She felt asleep , and the old woman vanished.
At the same moment, the king and the queen , the servants, the cats and the dogs felt asleep, even the stopped burning and the roasting meat stopped sizzling. Everything slept. Then a hedge of roses grew up around the castle. It grew up until the castle was hidden.
One hundred years passed and then a prince came riding and saw the top of the tower rising up above the hedge of roses. How strange , audience.
He said ,” I never knew there was a castle here.”
He jumped of his horse and lifted his sword to cut away the hedge, but as soon as the  sword touched the branch, a path opened up in front of him. So, prince walked freely through hedge. He entered the Castle and walked from room to room. At last he entered a little room at the end of a tall tower, and saw the sleeping princess.
“ Wow, so beautiful.”
Then the princess wake up , everyone and everything in the castle were awake. The beautiful princess married the prince.


The moral value : A miracle can do thing that can’t do. Impossible is nothing .
